It was on Monday 3 September 2018 that Salmar reported the escape of an unknown number of salmon from their new escape-proof sea cage in connection with an inspection hatch being left open after an inspection the day before.
The cage tilted a little over and remained 18 centimeters under water for a time. The escaped salmon must have an average weight of around 4 kilos. The escape is mentioned in Adresseavisen on 04/09/2018.
